What’s on your vision board ?

At the end of each year I take some time to reflect on the year that has passed. The ups , the downs , the highs and the lows and I carefully assess the goals I did and did not achieve.

This process is crucial as it gives me the clear perspective that is necessary to create my vision board for the upcoming year.

This year, instead of putting my vision board on the wall by my bed as I usually do , I stuck it right above my bed. My vision board is now the first thing I see every morning and the last thing I see before bed at night.

This should totally be a life hack. I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve been lying in my bed feeling lazy or discouraged and I would glance up and see my vision board and know I have to get up and get it together !

I’m not here to sell you on vision boards , but I am here to sell you on making plans/goals and sticking to them. Vision boards help create a clear vision , a clear path , which will help you remain accountable to yourself and to your goals.

If you haven’t created your vision board as yet , it is not too late. All you need to get started is a sheet of paper.

You need to break down your goals into categories. These are the major categories I use :

Physical/Fitness – this can include your body goals. It may be a specific goal weight , to get back into the gym or simply to be more active.

Health – this can be to have a healthier lifestyle or can be more specific like cutting certain foods from your diet.

Spiritual – this can be as simple as reading the Bible more or going to church more often. If you aren’t a Christian or a believer feel free to skip.

Financial – this can be how much money you would like to save by the end of the year , a list of the debts you want to pay off or the things you want to achieve financially for the year like owning your own home or investing in stocks.

Personal – this can be to get into a relationship or to get out of one. It can be to move out of your parent’s house or can be as simple as making more time for pampering yourself.

Goals – This is my favourite section. Goals are your dreams. These are the big things that you may or may not accomplish this year but you will work toward every year until you do. I won’t give any ideas because goals are personal and I don’t want to limit you or advise you , I want you to Dream Big !

Career – This can be a plan to start your own business or get a promotion or a raise at work.

I know it’s February and a bit late for a vision board but this year like last year has been tough and chaotic. I urge you to make some time in the midst of everything going on and make a plan.

Even if you don’t want to make a vision board just write your goals down. Remember , A goal without a plan is just a wish ~ Antoine de Saint- Exupery

If you already completed your vision board feel free to share what’s on your vision board !

Have a great day loves ! Be blessed xoxo
